Foodsteps has supported Ella's Kitchen in calculating emissions across their entire UK and international portfolio, covering over 200 products. Moving forward, we are collaborating closely to create a roadmap that aligns with their Scope 3 Science-Based Targets (SBTs), while further integrating Foodsteps into their operations to enhance ongoing reporting and tracking.

We’re proud to support Ella's Kitchen on their sustainability journey, as highlighted in their latest Good Stuff We Do report.

We kicked off our partnership by helping them calculate the carbon footprint of their entire UK and international portfolio—covering 200+ products across their supply chain. Each product was assessed using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) Life Cycle Standard, identifying major emissions hotspots, including the highest-impact products and biggest emitters.

With these product-level insights, Ella’s Kitchen can now make more informed decisions to reduce their environmental impact—whether through recipe reformulation, supplier engagement, or alternative packaging formats.

"Our partnership with Ella’s Kitchen demonstrates an important step towards decarbonising our food system: embedding environmental impact data and decision-making into the food product development process. Ella’s are ideal partners for us given their commitment to be an ambitious and forward-thinking force for sustainability in the food system. We look forward to helping Ella’s create nutritious, planet-conscious food for little ones.”

Now, we’re working together on a roadmap to help deliver on their Science-Based Targets, embedding Foodsteps more deeply into day-to-day operations to support ongoing tracking and reduction.
